Mixed Media Altered Box

Hello Friends...
I'm back today with my first mixed media altered project.
I have altered a gift box which I have kept since long for some experiment like this. I am very new to mixed media and I have never tried so much of layering before on my projects.
So let's take a look...

It's always fun to try something new and I was really excited to alter this one...
First I applied a coat of gesso on the lid of the box. With the help of stencils and texture paste I created the designs on it. after it was partially dry I applied a coat of crackle paste. Once it was half dried I applied another thick coat of the crackle paste. This really looks fabulous and gives this rough and old look to it.

Then I started coloring. First I applied a coat of black acrylic paint all over and once it is dried I cleaned the surface with a wet cloth. Then I applied turquoise blue metallic paint and golden metallic paint alternatively with dry brush technique. Then I added some small stones which I collected from the sea-shore on our recent holiday and colored them too with green acrylic paint and then dry brushed with golden. Then I applied gesso on some chipboards and once these dried colored and glued on the box. I also adhered 3 metal dragonfly and a tag which I distressed at the edges and adhered on a chipboard.
Finally I added some rhinestones here and there for some bling.

For the box I glued some tissue on the outer body and colored with black acrylic paint. Once that dried I dry brushed it with turquoise blue and golden metallic colors for the same effect as the lid.

Some more pics of the box...

Birthday Card

Hello Friends
Today I'm back with another Clean and simple card.
this is my second card using heat embossing technique. I really love this technique now.

so let's take a look at the card now...

I took this copper shiny handmade paper for my card. I stamped the images and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I again heat embossed the birthday sentiment on vellum and adhered on the card with tacky tape. Then I adhered the card on a plain white card base to complete it.

Another picture of the card below...

Supplies Used:
Handmade paper

Card- Hello

Hello Friends...
Happy New Year to all.
I'm back with a CAS card and my first post of the year.
Though I plan to make a lot more stuffs this year, it started on a busy note. I still managed to get some time finally to sit down and start working on some of the projects which were lingering in my mind.
So what I made this time...
A simple white CAS Card.
Here it is...

This is a 5*5.5 cm card. I adhered another 5*4.5 cm card-stock on that. The butterfly is stamped and heat embossed and then I hand-cut it and to give it a bit of height I glued it with foam tape. The sentiment "Hello" is stamped with black distress ink.
I glued some rhinestones to complete the look.

Here are some more pics...
